The beauty of a woman’s skin most often depends on her care. Of course, there are lucky women who begin to take care of themselves only after thirty, having found a couple of wrinkles in the corners of their eyes, but, alas, the average woman should think about taking care of her skin much earlier. A scrub is a cosmetic product consisting of a soft, caring base and an abrasive component. The latter can be ground coffee, salt, crushed bones or carefully crushed nut shells and more. Cosmetic clay or neutral gel can be used as a base.

What’s the point in using scrubs? The fact is that this tool removes keratinized particles from the skin and starts metabolic processes, due to which your skin looks young and healthy.

  Of course, one must take into account that face scrubs should be much softer than body scrubs. Otherwise, the effect may be unpredictable. As mentioned above, a good scrub is one that you make yourself. In this case, you can adjust the degree of grinding of abrasive particles, focusing on the condition of your skin – this way you will minimize the damage to the skin.

Before using any of the recipes below, make sure you are not allergic to the intended ingredients. To test the ingredient, apply a small amount to the inside of the elbow and leave it on for a while. How to cleanse oily skin

Unfortunately, oily skin is considered the most problematic by cosmetologists. In summer, troubles become most obvious: blackheads, enlarged pores, an unpleasant oily shining… A properly picked up scrub helps to solve some of these problems. We share with you the recipes for the most effective formulas for cleansing oily skin:

From yogurt and yeast

Ingredients: a tablespoon of yogurt, lemon juice and carrot juice, dry yeast, vegetable oil. The last ingredient should not be added if the skin is very oily. Mix all ingredients, apply and massage for twelve minutes. This vitamin-based face scrub helps remove oily shine and leaves skin matte.

Strawberry and salt

Ingredients: three teaspoons of fine salt, three softened medium strawberries, fresh or

even frozen, two tablespoons of any vegetable oil you like (olive, sunflower, sesame). Mix the ingredients, then apply the mixture to your face with gentle circular movements. Massage for a few minutes and leave the mixture to dry slightly. Wash off with not too warm water.

With yoghurt, rice and rolled oats

Ingredients: rice and rolled oats (a tablespoon each) plus a little yogurt. Grind dry ingredients in a coffee grinder, dilute with yogurt until sour cream. Apply to face and massage for a few minutes. Rinse off thoroughly and apply the caring cream.

From kiwi and vegetable oil

Ingredients: a small kiwi, a little vegetable oil. Soften the fruit, add oil, gently apply to face and massage. Be careful with this recipe: kiwi is a very pungent fruit, if you overdo it, you can injure your skin. On the other hand, a face scrub made from it is very effective.

From lemon juice, honey and bran

Ingredients: two large spoons of honey, the same amount of lemon juice, one and a half teaspoons of wheat bran. Warm honey in a water bath, add the rest of the ingredients. Apply to face, massage for five minutes, then rinse off with sufficient amount of water.

From yogurt and coffee grounds

Ingredients: a large spoonful of coffee grounds, the same amount of yogurt. Mix and apply to the face, massage gently for two minutes. Wash off.

Regular exfoliation of oily skin will bring an effect that is difficult to imagine. Firstly, the amount of inflammation and rashes will decrease, and secondly, the oily sheen will significantly decrease. The main thing is you shouldn’t relax and have to continue performing the procedures without stopping  as soon as the first results appear.

How to cleanse dry skin

Dry skin is just as troublesome as oily skin. But in this case you have completely different problems. Unfortunately, those who have this type of skin become older earlier than others, unless they start caring for themselves at a young age. The basic principle of dry skin care is to give it as much moisture as possible. For this, a variety of agents are used that retain water in the cells of the epidermis.

Owners of dry skin should not wash more than twice a day, and it is advisable to use a special cleansing milk. Scrubs should not be ignored, they are very important for dry skin, however, you should not do this procedure more than one or two (this is maximum!) times a week. Here are the best scrub recipes for you:

Banana, honey and sugar

Ingredients: three large tablespoons of fine sugar, a ripe banana, a small spoonful of honey, a quarter of a small spoonful of vanilla extract. Mash the banana, add the remaining ingredients, apply to the skin and massage for a few minutes. The main difficulty with this recipe is to resist the temptation to eat the resulting peeling mass. Double serve just in case!

Milk, cottage cheese and orange-lemon peels

Ingredients: a small spoonful of dried orange and lemon peels, pre-chopped, twice as much cottage cheese, a few drops of milk. Mix the ingredients thoroughly, rub in on slightly damp skin, and massage thoroughly. Wash off with warm water.

Made from honey, egg and chopped almonds

Ingredients: thoroughly chopped almonds in the amount of one tablespoon, the same amount of honey and a chicken egg. Mix and gently apply the mixture to your face in a circular motion, leave it for five minutes and then rinse thoroughly.

Mint, brown sugar and ginger powder

Ingredients: brown sugar (two tablespoons), a tablespoon of quality olive oil and the same amount of honey, a little chopped mint and powdered ginger. Mix, then, massaging your face, apply the mixture, leave it for a while and wash it off with warm water.

Grapes and rolled oats

Ingredients: six to seven mashed grapes, a teaspoon of crushed oat flakes. Mix and leave until swollen. Apply the ready-made composition to the face – you can massage the skin, but very gently and no more than five minutes. At the end of the procedure, wash off the mixture.

Sour cream and sea salt

Ingredients: a teaspoon of sour cream and sea salt. Mix the ingredients, apply the mixture and massage. This simple facial scrub works well against flaking. If you do not have sour cream, it is permissible to use vegetable oils or cream.

The main thing in caring for dry skin is not to overdo. This is especially true for scrubs: as practice shows, it is quite easy to damage the surface of dry skin with excessive peeling. However, if you do everything carefully, the result will please you.

How to cleanse combination skin

Another problem skin type. It is a combination of dry skin on the temples and

cheeks and oily on the so-called T-zone. The main problem in this case is the need to combine two types of skin care products. The good news is that combination skin types can change to normal as we get older. Scrubs for this type should be delicate and free from alkalis. You can use them no more than three times a week. You can make such compositions:

Bread crumb, milk and baking soda

Ingredients: crumb of black or gray bread, two tablespoons of fermented milk, two teaspoons of soda. Pour milk over the crumb, add baking soda and mix thoroughly. Having prepared the scrub, apply it to the face moistened with water and massage the skin very gently. This is the most effective facial scrub for combination skin. It moisturizes dry areas and deeply cleanses oily areas. It should be used twice a week. This composition is enough for deep cleansing and gives really amazing results.

Strawberry, honey and almond oil

Ingredients: a large spoonful of softened strawberries, a tablespoon of honey and the same amount of almond oil. Mix well, apply to face and massage gently for a few minutes. Then wash off with warm water.

Orange peels and yogurt

Ingredients: a large spoonful of ground orange peels, the same amount of unsweetened natural yogurt. Mix, apply the composition to the skin. Massage for five minutes, paying special attention to the T-zone. Wash off.

Cottage cheese, rice flour and sugar

Ingredients: a tablespoon of cottage cheese and finely ground rice flour, half a tablespoon of oil (vegetable) and the same amount of sugar. Mix, spread the mixture over the face and massage for some minutes. This composition is great for winter care of mixed skin, as the oily components protect the skin.

Butter, walnuts and quail eggs

Ingredients: two spoons (large) of ground walnuts, two small spoons of butter, two yolks of boiled quail eggs. Melt the butter, mix with the rest of the ingredients, apply to the face, massage very gently and leave for ten minutes. Wash yourself abundantly.

Rolled oats, milk powder and mint

Ingredients: one and a half of tablespoons of rolled oats, a large spoonful of milk powder and mint. Grind flakes with mint in a coffee grinder, add powdered milk, dilute with a little water, apply to the skin surface, massage for a few minutes, rinse. This toning facial scrub can be used in the morning and is very gentle.

Taking proper care of your mixed skin will eliminate possible problems and make your life easier. No matter how difficult the task may seem, find a little patience and your face will thank you with an even color and elasticity.

How to cleanse normal facial skin

This is a rare and practically problem-free skin type, which is most often found in young people (although it happens that combination skin, as we have already mentioned, turns into normal skin by adulthood). If you are lucky enough to have this particular type of skin, remember to nourish it. The best news: on this kind of skin, the first serious wrinkles appear only after thirty-five.

The most serious mistake made by many owners of normal skin is too much care. This is unacceptable, because it spoils healthy normal skin, makes it more capricious. In fact, this type of skin requires careful cleansing and gentle grooming. And, of course, periodic exfoliation. However, you shouldn’t use even the best (as you might think) scrubs more than once a week. And here are the formulations of scrubs that are right for you:

Orange peels, rolled oats and cream

Ingredients: two large spoons of crushed orange peels, the same amount of ground rolled oats and chilled cream. Mix the ingredients so that you get a gruel, apply onto the face and leave to dry. Wash off the cleansing compound with cool but skin-friendly water, then apply a light cream.

Rolled oats and almond butter

Ingredients: a large spoonful of ground rolled oats, a small spoonful of almond oil. Mix, apply for twenty minutes, massage a little. Rinse thoroughly.

Milk, ground barley and lemon juice

Ingredients: a teaspoon of milk and ground barley, two teaspoons of lemon juice. Mix until smooth and apply the mass onto the face, leave for ten minutes. Massage well, wash abundantly.

Brown sugar and vegetable oil

Ingredients: a teaspoon of brown sugar and any vegetable oil. Mix, massage for some minutes, wash your face with cold water.

With proper use of these scrubs, normal skin will acquire a soft matte color and will delight you with its freshness for a long time.

 Which of the proposed recipes to choose, of course, is up to you. However, first of all, do not forget to determine the correct type of your skin, otherwise the best and most effective face scrubs will not bring the expected results.
